The St Brendan room was a highlight: clean, modern, with a lovely lake view, and right next to a restaurant for dinner and breakfast. The shower is small, so watch out if you’re over 6’2, and the A/C is noisy enough to bother light sleepers. It also wasn’t clear where to check in when we arrived. A sign directing guests to check in at the restaurant, or a note in the confirmation email, would help. All in all, a good experience.

A quiet, fantastic spot overlooking the docks, with a balcony where you can eat and good prices. Worth the drive. Enjoy.

The location, room, space, kitchen, dock access, and view were all amazing. We stayed in the larger upstairs unit, The St. Christopher Suite, in the two-story building. Its balcony looked out over the St Lawrence river. The main problem was a strong, constant propane smell coming from the tanks stored on the ground floor. Hotel staff said that was normal and the tanks were used for the bar next door, but it didn’t seem normal to me. I don’t think the motel rooms in the other building have this issue. It seems to affect the three suites in Boathouse Inn, rather than rooms in the Waterfront motel.

The St Christopher Suite was lovely, with spectacular views and a good supply of dishes and utensils, though the dinner plates were too big for the microwave. Only coffee was provided, no tea, so I was glad I brought my own. The stairs felt a little daunting at first. Reception staff were extremely helpful. Breakfast was advertised as being served at the Island Grill. We were served, but saw some other guests turned away because they were expecting 150 people for the buffet lunch. Staff at the Grill weren’t terribly helpful.
