We’d only planned to stop for one night on the way to Banff, but the stay was comfortable and relaxing enough that we added another. The price and location were good, and the facilities were clean and well cared for. I hadn’t expected much when I booked, so the cleanliness and the kind welcome from the front desk really surprised me. I’ve lived in Canada a long time and rarely come across this level of cleanliness and genuine friendliness. I’d recommend it.

For a basic stop during our drive across the country, this was great value, and we slept really well. The room was very clean and spacious, with two queen beds, a table and two chairs, a large dresser, a side table, luggage stand, and fridge. The bathroom was roomy and nice too. Parking right outside the room made unloading easy. Booking by phone on the same day and checking in were both straightforward. Highly recommend.

We could park right outside our door and only had to carry our things about 8 m. The room was clean and had everything we needed, and being set back from the main street meant we avoided traffic noise. The owners were lovely, kind, and accommodating. Thanks for looking after us. We’ll be back!

I’d had trouble with my motorhome and couldn’t get to the place I’d booked, so I searched Booking and found BAL Hotel. The lower price made me wonder about the quality, but it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The hotel was well maintained and very clean, including the beds and bathroom. The front desk man was friendly and explained everything clearly. A comfortable, clean place to rest.

The pillows were awful. It felt like you’d need five to make one normal pillow, which sounds silly until you’re exhausted. The shower towels were basically hand towels too. On the plus side, the place was very clean and the location was great. The front desk responded quickly, and it’s close to river walking trails as well as the town’s restaurants and amenities.
