Best Western Plus Dartmouth Hotel & Suites

The room was clean and roomy, with a comfortable king bed and a jacuzzi. We were here for a staff function. I did miss having a coffee maker, a bathroom fan, and one more comfortable chair.

I was there for a meeting, not an overnight stay. Lunch was excellent, and that’s when refreshments were available, but I was disappointed there was no tea or coffee when we first entered the nicely set up conference hall. Our room was part of a larger meeting space, and the partition didn’t block much of the neighboring discussion. It still felt private, but the noise was distracting.

The pub in the hotel was a real highlight. We ate there several times and were happy with the food each time. During our nine nights in a business king room, we also found it comfortable, clean, and spacious. The staff were terrific, breakfast was hot, free, and excellent, and the location was quiet and convenient in the Dartmouth area. With the reasonable price and great people, this would be my first choice here.

We used to choose this hotel regularly, but it seems to have changed, and the restaurant food isn’t as good now. After breakfast, my 72-year-old mother, my 9-year-old, and I all felt ill. For the past 24 hours we’ve had stomach cramps, nausea, diarrhea, and weakness. I can’t be sure what caused it, though the breakfast sausage is the likely thing we all ate. They used to change the meat on Sundays, but this time it was the same as the day before. I’m very disappointed, and it was a horrible end to the weekend.
