Algonquin's Edge Resort

Ken called last night and kindly explained the policy, then offered to let me reschedule for when my health improves. I’m really glad they were flexible, and I’m looking forward to the glamping trip and sharing another review after my planned stay in early September. Stay tuned. I booked the resort in early June after seeing so many consistently great Google reviews. I’d been hoping to try the dome and enjoy the stars at night and waking up in nature. My recent health condition means I can’t do outdoor activities right now, so I got in touch with Edvard, who confirmed the booking, by email, phone, and other methods to ask about cancelling and getting a refund.

The lake scenery and sunsets were a highlight. We could take a kayak or canoe out, or sit on the beach beds by the bonfire, and the water activities didn’t cost extra. The stars were fully visible, too. Ken and the other hosts were great, always around when needed and cheerful. Our dome was spotless, the drinking water was safe, and the whole place felt relaxing. Wi-Fi worked well in the domes, and there was pool and ping pong to play. They’d cleaned the BBQ grill before we arrived, offered to have a staff member light the bonfire, and supplied the wood for free. The kitchen doesn’t have a stove, but the BBQ has a burner you can cook on. I’d absolutely recommend this place.

The place was peaceful, with a beautiful setting and friendly staff. Our room was comfortable and clean. We had a great two-night stay at Algonquin Edge Resort and would come back to relax in nature.

Edward, the manager, gave us such great service, and since it was the season’s final weekend and cold, they kindly moved us from a dome to a cabin. We were blown away by the care. It’s a beautiful spot near algonquin for a glamping-style stay, and it was just right for our anniversary.
