Long Lake Waterfront Bed and Breakfast

We couldn’t have been happier with our stay, and we’re already planning to come back next year. The hot tub by the lake was a perfect touch, and the kayaks and canoes were safe, easy to get to, and fun. There were several decks to relax on, with both sun and shade, and the views were incredible. Our room was clean, private, air conditioned, and beautifully decorated. The hosts were kind and respectful of our privacy. They’d decorated the room for our anniversary, which was so thoughtful. Breakfast was fresh and just right on both days, with several choices.

The owners were very sweet. They live upstairs, though we hardly ran into them, so the suites felt quite private. There were paddle boards, canoes, and life jackets to use, and the hot tub was lovely at night. With beautiful views right by the lake and complimentary breakfast and coffee each morning, it made a lovely weekend escape. We’d definitely stay again.

The jacuzzi tub was mouldy and needed cleaning, and the bed and pillows made it hard to sleep. The price is high, too. When the power went out, the help from the manager who lives upstairs was laughable: we got one tea light candle. At first glance, things seemed good, if a little odd with all the fake flowers. But the breakfasts were poor, as other reviews have mentioned. The management also seems different from what it must have been before the sale. I don’t usually leave negative reviews unless I feel it’s necessary.

I’ve rarely found such a quiet and peaceful place. We stayed three days, and the host was the kindest person I’ve ever met. The view is one of a kind, and breakfast is included, with eggs, waffles, and fruit. The price feels fair for a room with a jacuzzi and private, free access to the lake. Kayaks and canoes are free to use as well.
