Ocean Melody Vacation Rooms

This is just my personal experience. I booked for August at the price listed on their website, and I have the invoice showing that amount. A few days later, the owners messaged me to say the price was actually four times higher and that I’d have to pay the higher amount. I’d already booked my ferry tickets and made my plans, but they cancelled my booking when I wouldn’t pay more. It was really upsetting to have the reservation cancelled after I’d planned everything around it. Be careful, since they may cancel before your stay.

The balcony had a lovely view, and we had tea and a little breakfast before heading out. The Chen family made us feel very welcome in their home. Our room was quiet, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was amazing.

Toast and tea or coffee are there for the morning, and the views are beautiful. A kitty gave us a warm welcome, and Lily was a really wonderful host. We also watched some landscaping silliness next door.

The rooms are huge, and I’d happily stay here again when I’m in nanaimo. The property is clean and really well maintained, with lovely ocean views from the lobby’s balcony. It almost feels like a 4 star hotel. The couple are friendly and always ready to help when you need them.
