Keo and Niko were quick to respond whenever I needed something and got it sorted right away. Communication before and during the stay was top notch, and check-in was easy. The large, furnished suite was quiet, less expensive than a tiny hotel room, and had a very comfortable, clean bed. My 40 kg dog was welcome for our month-long stay without hesitation. OI Suites sits among the lovely heritage houses of James Bay, a couple of blocks from Beacon Hill Park, Dallas Road, and the beach. Downtown Victoria was a quick 12-minute walk, and the major bus routes were about 10 minutes away on foot. There are three off-street parking spots on a first-come basis, but parking was never a problem. The backyard, deck, and garden were beautiful too. It's an old heritage house, so there are quirks and some wear, which are part of its charm. The service, price, and location were hard to beat. I'd happily stay again.

The spacious rooms and claw-foot tub were nice, and I appreciated having ice in the freezer. I was glad to discover this place, though the suite could have been cleaner. I kept finding hair and dust balls in the bedroom, and under the bed clearly hadn't been properly cleaned in a long time. I also had to wipe dust off the leather chairs before my friend and I could sit down. If you're a light sleeper, note that sound carries between suites 2 and 3 at the back. Otherwise, it was quite a good place to stay.

A quiet neighborhood, with everything you'd need or want to see within walking distance. The furnished suite in the historic house was fantastic, and the staff were friendly and very responsive. A hassle-free Victoria visit, I'd stay here.

They changed the room price, then tried to charge me for the transfer from the reservation point to the suite, an 8-minute drive. They only speak English.
