Super 8 Dawson Creek

They change up the breakfast a bit. One morning there was sausage, the next I had fried ham, and I’m kind of hoping for bacon tomorrow. There are boiled eggs too, though I’m a little lazy and wish they came peeled. My only real complaint is that some cracks and crevices around the doors and walls could use a deeper clean. It’s not bad, maybe I’m just picky.

I wasn’t excited when FNHA booked this for us, since Super 8s haven’t been great in many places, but I was pleasantly surprised. The room was clean and the bedding really soft. The sofa bed mattress was brand new and still in its bag; I had to ask for bedding, and they brought it right away. Most of the staff were very friendly, especially the professional, amazing woman at the front desk. The kitchen lady was the exception. Breakfast was great too, better than at the more expensive hotel I’d stayed in before. I’m so glad we stayed here.

I stayed for two months. The place was clean and nice, and there’s an amazing restaurant right beside it.

There are lots of useful touches: a full-length mirror, exercise room, laundry facility, and a good breakfast with three proteins, fresh fruit, and oatmeal. My room was clean, the bed comfortable, the WiFi good, and there was a pleasant coconut scent. The nook had a microwave, fridge with freezer section, bar sink, and coffee apparatus. The shower was good, the bathroom counter had plenty of space, and I appreciated the dark washcloth for makeup or cleaning a counter mess. Grocery stores and restaurants are within walking distance. A few things could be better: the lamps glitch, the outlet beside the bed is damaged and a bit far away, so charging means sharing the motel’s power strip. The bedside clock does have two USB-A ports.
