The breakfast Lisa prepared was delicious and beautifully presented: coffee, tea, pastries, freshly cooked eggs, sausages, hash browns, and beans, just like the English breakfast advertised. The room was beautifully decorated, with a very warm bed, a clean bathroom, and new appliances. We especially loved the natural light through all the windows and watching the sunrise from the room. My husband and I spent one night at Hillside Landing. We’d booked a street-view room, but since it was unoccupied, Jen offered us one with an ocean view. Jen was so welcoming and friendly, and that was a lovely start to our stay.

Breakfast brings the guests together at 8am, and there was everything you could want, served with a smile. You can also help yourself to tea and coffee downstairs, then sit on the verandah overlooking the harbour. It’s a beautiful period property with lovely rooms, gorgeous bedding, and a warm welcome. Everything was beautifully clean. Well worth the price, you won’t get better for your money.

Our host made us feel very welcome, and breakfast was tasty. The property’s location and style impressed us as soon as we arrived. The Rutherford room was just right, with a view of the water and the furnishings we needed. We also appreciated the modern washroom. Thanks Jennifer for a lovely visit!

The harbour view from our room was great, and it was clean and nice inside. Breakfast was very good too. Check-in went really well from the start. Five stars all the way.

This was a very nice stop on our way to the ferry, and I wished we’d planned to stay a few nights. The rooms were great, and breakfast came with very fancy china. Just keep in mind that all the rooms are upstairs, so you need to be able to manage the stairs.
