Thin walls and interior doors that didn’t feel insulated made it hard to have any privacy. The bed lifted at the end when I sat down, then banged against the floor. The toilet paper holder kept falling off, making a noise that could be heard throughout the hotel. The mainland neighbours also seemed to have no idea how we Newfoundlanders like to enjoy ourselves. If you want a place that expects you to be asleep by 9 pm, this may suit you, but we definitely won’t be back. There was no privacy or welcome for anyone wanting to enjoy a night out.

We had the whole place to ourselves during our off-season visit, and the gathering room gave us a magnificent view of the sunset. The room and bed were comfortable, and breakfast the next morning was a good continental spread. It’s a characterful B&B with lots of decorative touches, and we had a great chat with Tammie, who told us about the area. The inn is right across from Dildo Brewing Company, though unfortunately it was closed while we were in town.

Tammy was a great hostess and communicator. We spent two nights in Dildo in a lovely, very clean and tidy room. Breakfast was included, with muffins, scones, cereal, fresh fruit, coffee and tea to choose from. There was ample parking, and restaurants and coffee shops were nearby.

Tammy was really friendly and helpful, and her recommendations for the area were great. We had a lovely two-night stay. Dildo Brewing is a must visit, and we highly recommend this charming place.

We had an excellent stay at Inn on the Bay. It’s a beautiful inn, right in the town of Dildo, and very clean with a welcoming feel. Tammy was fun to chat with and knows the area really well.
