Montreal Airport Marriott In-Terminal Hotel

My partner and I asked the front desk if we could get a room for just half a day. I understand they charge by the night, not by the hour, as most hotels outside the airport do, but $400 or more a night? We stayed in the lobby seating area and were basically kicked out for being too poor for their 4-star hotel. A man came over and said, “We are a 4-star hotel, we can’t have you waiting here.” If I could give zero stars, I would. There are hotels outside the airport within walking distance, so book one of those instead. The man in a black suit roaming around the Marriott was very judgmental and basically kicked us out for looking poor 😂

Sonia in the executive lounge was fantastic. She greeted us with a smile and explained the breakfast choices. The items were regularly restocked. Try the breakfast pizza. I struggled to use the coffee machine, and Sonia came over and showed me how to make a perfect caramel latte. My wife loved the coffee in the insulated containers. Irene at the front desk was also very nice and helpful when we arrived late in the evening after a long travel day. Our room was large, nice, and clean, with very little aircraft noise, and we slept comfortably. We were finishing an overnight stay at the Marriott at YUL. It's attached to the terminal, so we could get to the hotel without going outside. The check-in lobby is on the fourth floor. Great service all around. We'd definitely stay again if our flight timing called for it.

I stay here a few times a month. It's a great hotel in a good location, and the staff are friendly. But beware, they're demolishing the parking lot across the road, and work starts at 4:30 a.m. It was a rough early wake-up today. I'm not impressed that the check-in staff knew about the work and are assigning guests to these rooms without at least warning them about the noise.

My card was having problems, so I went downstairs to call my bank and try to fix it so we could still check in. It was very late, and my children fell asleep on the chairs while I was on the phone. The manager went straight to my youngest and started shaking her. I told him, "Don't touch my child!" He responded aggressively that we were on hotel property and couldn't sleep there. I explained that I was calling to sort out the problem so we could stay, something he could see, but he stayed belligerent. I deliberately gave up trying to fix the issue because I'll never stay at a hotel where management targets children and mistreats them instead of speaking to the adult with them.
