Hide Away Inn

After a long day driving, the price seemed reasonable, but my wife and I spent half an hour killing mosquitoes in the room before we could even try to relax. The AC fan was really loud.

My wife stayed here on a work trip because it was available. The rooms were dated and nothing special. At check-in she asked about checkout and was told not to worry, with no time given. Later, when she had to sort out an error they had made on her reservation, she asked again and the same front desk person said it didn't matter, around 11 a.m. At 10:55 the next morning, someone pounded on her door and told her she had five minutes to leave or they'd charge for late checkout. With clear information, she could have arranged her schedule. Instead, she packed quickly, finished getting ready in the parking lot, and had to do her work in her car. Absolutely unacceptable. What a disgusting establishment.

I stayed here back in 2009 and came away with a bad impression. This visit was worse. The lobby smelled bad, the bed was uncomfortable, and the tiny bathroom needed serious repairs. The place is a dump and wasn't worth the $150.00 I was charged. Never again.

The room was clean and nice, and the sheets smelled wonderful. The business has a rustic look, but it's very good.
