Fresh breakfast on the deck was delicious, and the rushing water behind the place made the perfect natural white noise. We slept with the sliding glass door open, and it felt like paradise. The rooms are beautifully decorated and comfortable. Gilbert was welcoming, funny, and attentive. Walking into his place feels like entering a museum. What a gem in Mont Laurier, why stay at a chain motel? Highly recommend this spot.

The rooms were clean and the inside was okay, though the exterior looked very dusty. There was no AC, TV, or fridge in the rooms, and breakfast was very poor. The owner wasn't flexible about guests' needs and acted as if letting customers stay was a favor. For the money we paid, he should have been more generous with what he offered. First and last time there.

The rooms are great, and the host is wonderful. Breakfast was excellent, and it's just a short bike ride to the Petit train du nord trail.
