Danielle & Gaston B&b

We had a lovely room at Danielle's peaceful guesthouse, and she welcomed us so warmly. Breakfast was generous, and we enjoyed sharing it with her. We highly recommend staying here.

There was no phone service or reception, and when I arrived no one was there. I ended up having to sleep at a hotel and pay $100 for a room I couldn't even use. They won't refund the money either. Call several days ahead to confirm both the room and that someone will answer, because this kind of oversight can cost you dearly. Otherwise, I'd recommend choosing a hotel so you don't run into this problem.

There was no privacy at all, and we had to stay in the room for the evening. It was tiny, the bed was uncomfortable, and there was no private bathroom. The owners were settled in their living room with the TV blaring, so we watched TV in our room too. To get to the bathroom, I had to walk past them in my pajamas. It was incredibly awkward. Breakfast was pretty poor: Oasis orange juice with extra pulp, one slice of Kraft cheese, a slice of white Weston bread, and a sad little egg in the corner of the plate. We had to ask for coffee because the owner hadn't offered it. Honestly, we should have paid an extra $20 to get what we wanted. I'm surprised the place is still open.

The welcome is warm, the meals are delicious, and the rooms are comfortable. It's a pleasant atmosphere that makes you feel at home. I highly recommend it!
