We only needed a night near Orford Musique while our son was at a music festival. We usually choose hotels or motels, but bed and breakfasts seemed to be the usual option in this area. Spa Detente caught my eye because of its price and the reviews, even though there weren’t many. The new owner greeted us, and the house was beautiful. Lynn was clearly French Canadian and did her best to speak English, which I appreciated. Our downstairs room matched its description, and the beds were comfortable. Sharing a bathroom took a little getting used to, but it was no big deal. Everything was clean and comfortable, with outlets conveniently placed beside the beds. There were massage rooms and jacuzzis, though we didn’t use them. Outside, there’s a lovely yard and garden, plus a handy deck with swing tables. It’s a very quiet retreat, and I’d highly recommend it. The WiFi works well too, if you don’t want to disconnect completely. 😎

The hosts made us feel very welcome. There’s good WiFi, a very good breakfast, a massage room, and three jacuzzis. We also enjoyed seeing the forest around the property. There are plenty of nearby places to visit, including Coaticook and Magog lake. Enjoy!

The breakfast was sublime, with lots to choose from and everything fresh that morning. Our hosts were remarkably warm and friendly, and took care of everything. We stayed two nights and loved it. We also had a massage in their dedicated room, which had a lovely, relaxing atmosphere. There’s a SPA and sauna, and although we didn’t take the walking trail, it was open and well maintained. The place was very clean and welcoming, and the Wi-Fi was stable with good coverage. We recommend it 100%!

That outdoor shower at the spa was pure bliss. The place is peaceful, clean, and set in an enchanting location, with welcoming hosts and a comfortable bed. Breakfast had lots of variety too. I’m really happy with my choice and highly recommend it.
