Element by Marriott Edmonton West

I stayed here for three weeks across two visits to Edmonton. At first I loved the rooms, but then the problems started. The on-site coin laundry stopped working one day, and I waited an hour for a staff response and a solution. They eventually told me to go to four points hotel to finish my laundry. The next day, the Wi-Fi stopped working for me. I struggled with it for five days, and changing rooms didn’t help. A staff member tried to brush it off by saying my phone must have a problem if I couldn’t connect. On day six, a manager came to my room and fixed it. I gave the hotel another chance, but I’m having the same issue again. If you’re planning to stay here, bring your own internet.

The staff were friendly, helpful, and polite, and the hotel itself is classy, clean, and in a great location. My only complaint is the limited streaming on the TVs, or the lack of a way to cast from a phone. After exploring the city, my husband and I wanted to relax at the hotel, but didn’t have many viewing options. Otherwise, I’d recommend it 100%.

I’m in Edmonton a lot for work and have tried numerous hotels. This is my favourite so far, and I’m staying here right now. The breakfast, happy hour, and bedtime teas are such a nice touch. The rooms are stylish and updated, with comfortable beds and filtered water. The shower pressure is amazing, I’ve never had a hotel shower with rocket power like this. My only two complaints: the hot tub is out of service, and I could really have used it this week. Also, my room faces the highway and it’s pretty loud.

The location is great for getting to West Edmonton Mall, and the hotel is beautiful and well maintained. Staff were friendly, our room was spacious and comfortable, and breakfast had good options. The pool was quite cold for our kids. On the first night some big kids were rowdy in it, so we chose not to use it. The next day was quieter.
