My husband and I ended up here after our van caught fire just outside the city. A cop dropped us off and said we were good people, but the owner was still extremely rude and kept adding charges until the room cost $140. It wasn't worth even $60. The place was dirty, dingy, and had a dodgy atmosphere. When I turned on the bathroom tap, water came out of the plug and ran onto my feet. That explained the deposit, we thought, so we'd pay for their sink. We pointed it out right away and were told there were no other rooms, but that we wouldn't be charged for it. There was also a lamp creepily attached to the ceiling, poltergeist style. Really creepy place, and really rude staff. Definitely wouldn't recommend it.

I've been coming here for 10+ years, and the owners have treated me so well that I call them mom and dad. The staff are awesome, and it's a quiet place with huge rooms. Mine has a couch, coffee table, newer appliances, and a flat-screen TV. People complain about no in-room coffee, but if you call the office, they'll make a pot for you. Simple. Three downsides: you have to walk a ways to get everyday things, especially in an Edmonton winter; the weekly price could be better; and there's no pay-per-view or good movie channels.

The rooms were clean, and the staff worked hard to keep the motel that way. They were really friendly too. There are some great pizza delivery flyers at the motel, and it's a great place to stay on weekends or during the holidays.
