The location is fantastic. I was in Edmonton for a symphony at the UofA, and it was within walking distance. The room was cheap, but once you add the $15 breakfast and parking, the price may come out about the same as a regular hotel that offers a better stay. The rooms are very dated, and older reviews don’t reflect the current experience. The front office was hard to find when I first walked in, with poor signage. The rooms are small and look unchanged since the 80s. My toilet made a loud refill noise every 20 minutes. I was first given an uncleaned room, but the front desk readily moved me to a clean one, and I had to move my things over. Breakfast was standard, with hot hash browns and eggs, but everything was cold and stale when I ate. For $15, I wouldn’t eat there again.

Our room was really comfortable and quiet, and the toiletries provided were fantastic. That little detail showed the Centre’s respect for its guests. The campus is beautiful, close to everything we needed, and a lovely place to stay. I only wish the hours for food outlets had been clearer. I didn’t know Booster Juice in the Marina on the ground floor opened later than the other kiosks, so finding breakfast at 6:30 on Saturday or Sunday can be a challenge. We’ll likely stay here again when we’re in Edmonton, and I’ve recommended it to others.
The campus atmosphere is great, and it’s nice having Lister dining hall connected. The room is spacious. A few small things need attention: there was hair on the bathroom floor, and some pillowcases were ripped. Still, it’s a nice place to stay.
We stayed over the weekend and couldn’t believe how spacious the room was. It had two double beds, a couch, a dresser with a TV, a closet, a desk, nightstands beside both beds, a mini fridge and, of course, a bathroom. It was very quiet, though I don’t know how busy the hotel was, and the rate was half the price of a regular hotel. I’d definitely stay again.
Small rooms, but the price is right, and they’re clean. The location is great if you’re visiting someone at the hospital or Cross Cancer Clinic. It can get noisy and busy when events are on, and the main lobby gets overrun by rambunctious students. At 10 p.m. while we were checking in, large crowds came through chasing and shoving each other. My mother-in-law was nearly knocked off her feet twice.
