The host was really helpful, and having laundry available was a big plus. We stayed in a three bedroom unit with a fully equipped kitchen, and all the beds were comfortable. The two upstairs rooms had lovely bay views, though the downstairs room's ceiling was very low and awkward. It's also close to the puffins, plus a couple of snack bars and restaurants.

We were there in July 2017 and had such a good stay. The room was comfortable, breakfast was fabulous, and the location is incredible. The BB itself felt like part of the experience too. We shared songs, including some delightful originals Charlotte had written. Then there were the puffins, whales, and icebergs. I'd go back in a heartbeat.

We had the efficiency unit for three people. The queen bed was comfortable, but the couch bed, even with its nice mattress topper, made a lot of noise whenever anyone moved. We could also hear voices and other noise from the upstairs guests, which was annoying, especially in the mornings. The ocean view was nice, and the kitchen had the essentials: fridge, oven, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, and so on.

Breakfast was excellent, with fresh fruit and juice first, then eggs, ham, pancakes, tea or coffee, and hash browns. We found the price reasonable, too. It had a cozy, homey feel, and the bed was comfortable. The common room was a nice place to sit, with big couches, a TV, and lots of interesting books, though we mostly spent our time exploring the nearby puffin and whale viewing areas. Highly recommend it.

Our first stop on a Newfoundland adventure, and staying at Bird Island really added to the trip. The host and everyone else were so friendly. We met another couple and all six of us had a great time together. Even the gift shop owner down the road dropped by after hours after spotting our rather unique rental vehicle outside. He let us know someone in our party had left one of her purchases behind. One guest room was a little small, but it became part of the memories.
