The Royal Anne Hotel

I’ve returned to the Royal Anne many times, and the owners’ care is clear. They seem to treat their staff well, and I recognize several people from past visits. The place has a positive feel and lots of nice touches, even though it isn’t a luxury hotel. The location is great, the service is friendly, and the rooms are clean. Parking is available but a bit limited; staff have been a great help to me with it on a couple of occasions. The gym is well equipped, and there are lovely walks nearby.

We’ll be back. Everything was clean and well stocked, with pleasant seating areas, and housekeeping did a very good job. The location is handy for shops, Lake Okanagan, and restaurants. Breakfast bar staff were efficient and friendly. Thank you!

Zoi and the reception team put together a wonderful birthday display for my wife, which was a lovely touch. We were on the top floor facing south, right above Bernard Ave, with a great view of the frosty hillsides and activity on the street. It’s a perfect base for downtown Kelowna’s restaurants and attractions. Parks and the waterfront are just a block away, with a great lakeside walkway heading north to the Yacht club and bird sanctuary. There are plenty of little pubs and eateries nearby too. Parking can be a catch: the underground lot has about 10 spaces and the adjacent ground-level lot about 10 more, though parkades are close and street parking out front is paid.

I was only in Kelowna for a day, and I’m glad I picked this hotel. The staff were genuinely helpful and friendly, and breakfast had significantly better options than other hotels in the same price range. The clean beds and pillows were excellent quality. I was especially impressed by the spotless bathroom and the quality of the towels. Indoor parking is a big convenience, particularly in winter.
