Mission Park Inn

There were lots of tables for socializing, BBQs, and a nice pool, which I liked. But our room could've been cleaned more thoroughly: there was a sticky juice stain on the floor when we arrived. The bathroom badly needs renovation and tile work, and the sinks were so powerful I splashed myself about ten times over the few nights there. It was a mediocre stay overall.

The shared pool, hot tub, and BBQ areas suit people who enjoy being social with other guests. I liked that relaxed, fun atmosphere during a weekend trip with my Ladies Softball Team for a major tournament in town. It's an older, classic beach side motel, but well maintained. Several staff were around daily looking after the clean rooms, pool, and common spaces, and the units were surprisingly clean. Highly recommend it for being close to all amenities and right across from lake beaches.

For $90, the room was really large, and the location was great, right by the water and just steps from a park. We needed an early check-in, so I called when our plane landed, and they got the room ready promptly. The big drawback was the noise from upstairs. Every footstep made the floor creak, like the person above might come through the ceiling. We slept terribly. The place also doesn't look especially appealing when you drive up. Oh well, you get what you pay for.

We'd probably stay here again if we return to Kelowna for a few days. The outdoor pool is nice, the property is pretty clean, and it's only a few minutes' walk from a great public beach. It seemed family friendly, with quite a few families with young kids around. Each room has a full kitchen, which helped us save on food and probably eat healthier, and there are shared BBQs outside. One pull-out bed had several broken springs when we arrived. We made a rough fix with camping rope and told them the next day. They already knew about the problem and were supposed to put us in another room. It wasn't a major issue for us, and they ended up giving us a day for free.
