The Shore

We stayed at the Shore for a little over two months while our home was being repaired after a flood, with my husband and our cat. We had to change rooms twice as we extended the stay, but the experience was positive throughout. There are plenty of restaurants and a grocery store nearby, and the hotel had what we needed to feel at home. Any problems were sorted out almost right away. A throw for the couch would be handy since the fabric isn’t very comfortable. And use the overflow parking about 20 feet away. Those little front spots aren’t worth the struggle.

We booked the Shore for a bachelorette weekend and were really happy with the choice. The water views were amazing, and the rooms were clean and roomy. Staff were friendly too, and there was plenty of parking.

Our three bedroom apartment was quiet, new, and a fair deal, even with the hefty cleaning fee. No pool or gym, but it was convenient and comfortable. The third bedroom was more like a converted closet with a single bed, though my daughter thought it was cozy. Beds and linens were comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed to cook a couple of meals, and all three HVAC units worked flawlessly. We ate at two of the six food places in the building and liked them. Gyro park is right across the street, while a grocery store, pharmacy, and Tim Horton’s are about a five minute walk away. Parking costs extra, but we found a spot in the busy lot at night. I downloaded the app and registered about a week before arrival, then got a digital key at 3 pm on check-in day. There were also two key cards waiting in the unit.

That third floor rooftop patio by the fire pit was a highlight for our family. We played cards and laughed together at night, and once the lights went down the neighborhood was peaceful, just what we wanted. The Shore is across from Gyro park, with good restaurants on the building’s main floor, so we hardly needed to leave the area. We stayed three nights and would recommend it to families. Check-in was modern, contactless, and efficient, and replies by text came quickly and professionally.
