Cedar Song B & B and Cottage

Anneke’s stories and the food were a real highlight, and with her advice we learned so much about the island. We stayed six nights and felt right at home. She’s a lovely host, probably the best you could ask for. If we return to Vancouver Island, we’ll definitely stay with her again.

We’ve stayed at cedar song twice and are already looking forward to another visit. Anneke makes amazing gourmet breakfasts with eggs from her chickens and fresh herbs from the garden. The garden and back deck are lovely for coffee before breakfast or a glass of wine in the evening. We spent three days cycling and found lots of great routes. Cedar Song is tucked among the trees, with cozy rooms and thoughtful details, and it’s an easy drive to Parksville, Coombs, and Qualicum Beach for coffee shops, stores, and restaurants.

The breakfast was delicious and served when it suited our schedule. The food was presented so beautifully that I took a photo, which I never usually do. Cedar Song sits peacefully in the woods, and the hosts were warm and made sure we had what we wanted. Our room had a cozy feel, with comfortable furnishings and lovely decor. You can tell a lot of care has gone into this B&B, and it made our weekend extra special. I’d happily recommend it and return if we’re nearby again.

The friendly chickens were a fun bonus. Anneke was sweet, kind, and full of ideas for things to do around the area. Everything was beautiful, and the food was some of the best I’ve ever had. We loved our weekend stay so much that we’ll be making this an annual trip.
