Best Western Plus Executive Inn

We booked through Amex travel because we needed an accessible room for my grandma. It was spacious, with a microwave and fridge in the room. The hotel was beautiful, breakfast tasted great, and the staff were kind and courteous.

We had such a good stay at Best Western over the holidays. Everyone we dealt with, from the front desk and housekeeping to maintenance and breakfast, was friendly, helpful, and accommodating. You can tell they care about guests. The hotel was clean, and the amenities were well kept. Being right off the 401 and so close to Scarborough Town Centre made getting around easy. I’d definitely come back and recommend it.

The shower needs somewhere to put soap, maybe a shelf or hanging rack. That was one frustration, but the main problem was the hockey team sharing the hotel. They kept us awake all night. Staff assured me after the first night it would improve, but it didn’t, and when I explained it at the desk, they didn’t apologize or offer a discount. The attendant didn’t even look up while we were talking. Probably the worst hotel stay I’ve had. I won’t be back, and I’d tell others to avoid it too.

For the price, I expected more. The room itself was okay, but the torn headboard, odd bedding, and very thick pillows that hurt my neck were disappointing. The bathroom was especially bad: much smaller and in worse shape than the room photos suggested, which showed a glass shower door. It didn’t seem clean either. There were drips on the mirror, a dirty stained tub, and a loose toilet seat. Breakfast tasted cheap and had few choices. Staff watched our every move, so I had to take my food upstairs.
