Stonebridge Hotel

After 7pm, don't go to smitty's, the attached restaurant, to collect food you ordered while staying at the hotel. Security will lock you out, leaving you to walk around in -35 C.

The check-in was badly handled. They couldn't find my hotels.com booking until I proved it was there. Then a security guard told me I couldn't smoke on the grass while walking my dog. This was my last stay here. There have to be better options.

The room was clean, and the front desk staff were nice, but the uncomfortable bed and bad shower made me unlikely to recommend this hotel. The mattress was hard as a rock, and even my toddler tossed and turned. There was little water pressure, and I had to turn the hot water almost all the way up to get it warm. We also heard people fighting in another room, then someone pounding on a nearby door and yelling at 3am, which kept my husband and me awake. I booked at the last minute, and the clean room was enough for two stars if you could sleep on that mattress.

The woman at the front desk was very sweet, but the hotel itself was awful for what they charge per night. We were hesitant to check in, thinking it couldn't be that bad, then walked two steps off the elevator and checked right back out. The floor we'd been assigned smelled like burning tires, and the parking lot and nearby areas looked run down and very unsafe. We booked through Expedia, and the photos made the place look much better than it was. I wouldn't recommend it at all, not even for a laugh at Yuk Yuks 🤦🏻‍♀️
