Travelodge by Wyndham Fort St John

I had a late flight and just needed somewhere to spend the night. It was an impressive place, with a neat room and basic amenities. Good value for the money.

The front desk staff were amazing, helpful and understanding. The restaurant being right there was nice, and the breakfast looked great, especially for a continental one. The room was large and tidy, but stuffy. I had to run the air all night, so it was cold and loud. I’d go back just for him!

There was a bit of a smoke smell even in the non-smoking room, and it gave me a headache. The Wi-Fi was decent but I had to reconnect a few times during the day. Rooms were clean, and the accessibility room was decent. Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was nice and ran from 4:30 to 9, with scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, cereal, muffins, fruit, toast and bagels, plus hot drinks. There’s also an attached restaurant with a bar and pool table, and a liquor store and grocery store right across the street. A decent hotel for the price.

Of the couple of places I’ve seen in Port Saint John, this one’s been the best. The rooms are clean, and the staff are helpful and friendly. Laurie on the night desk was friendly and knew her stuff. Tim at the morning desk was very friendly too, even after I accidentally slept past checkout. They were all nice about it. I’d definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a nice, quiet place to sleep with clean linen.
