Riverdale Resort

We booked our annual snowmobile and ATV trip at Riverdale Resort in Alban, ON, then found out the restaurant would be closed while we were there. We cancelled within the stated policy, but they still wouldn't return our $700 deposit. Several calls went unanswered, with no reply or callback, so we're now trying to get the money back through our Visa credit card company. Really disappointing and unprofessional. Be careful.

Fishing, kayaking, swimming, and BBQing kept us busy, and some of our group ate at the restaurant and really enjoyed it. We spent four days at Riverdale with family, spread across separate cabins and rooms, and all the amenities were great. Our cabin was roomy and clean, with a lovely deck looking over Ranger Bay. Jaime was extremely helpful from my first call around the new year through all my emails and phone calls. She answered my questions and gave me lots of suggestions. I'd happily recommend it to anyone after a rustic getaway in a beautiful area.

Louise and Jaime run a great place, and the food was delicious with generous portions. We had a wonderful time by French River, the lake is beautiful. The room was big, the bed was comfortable, and there was plenty of hot water. The bathroom fan wasn't working, though, so there was a bit of mold and the shower curtain was slimy.

The lake view was the best part of our stay. The rooms were lovely, clean, fresh, and thoughtfully designed, with a nice mix of comfort and nature. They had a microwave, fridge, and TV, plus there's a BBQ and a kids' play area. Picnic tables sit under mature trees facing the lake. The restaurant opens at 9 am. If glamping is your thing, you'll love it. We loved our stay and would strongly recommend it.
