I lived in the building for 2.5 years. There were lots of airbnb parties, especially on weekends, and the elevators could get chaotic, particularly when 2 of the 3 were out of service. Fire alarms went off in the middle of the night pretty often, at least twice a month. There was also a shooting in the building involving an airbnb guest, but the condo board didn't take drastic action.

I'm relieved I left 85 after 4 years. The management team and building are great, but the security guards were rude, unfriendly and unprofessional. They often made it hard to get help, gave me attitude, and seemed lazy. I've lived in many condos, and this was the worst for me because dealing with security caused me grief every time. The security teams have changed many times over the past few years. I guess the condo has been leaving less and less budget for security, because the quality has deteriorated a lot.

This is about the last two months. Elevators have broken down multiple times a week, snow takes a long time to get plowed, and air bnbs have taken over the building. Accidental fire alarms happen often, and the announcements are incredibly annoying. Last night's alarm ran for more than half an hour at 1:30am. The water was brown, too.

Great spot, close to a park, a dog park, Sobeys and Loblaws, plus the LCBO. There's also a community centre and library nearby.
