We came back for a second stay since last year, and the atmosphere is still excellent. The room has everything you need to make your own food. We only tried breakfast once. With such limited choices and cold coffee and tea, even at $8 it didn't feel worth it, so making breakfast in the room is better. Dinner was very good, and some nights there's live music. The lake activities are the best part: canoeing, kayaking, paddleboarding, and swimming in the lake or pool.

We had clear skies both nights, and the view across the lake while watching the meteor shower was spectacular. The rooms were clean and quaint, the grounds were well kept, and the staff were lovely and very accommodating. We had such a good two-night stay that we already booked again for next year. Our only real letdown was dinner at the restaurant, Capitain something... It took almost two hours from walking in to leaving, including a half-hour wait for the bill. We ordered ribs and a Caesar salad; the salad was bland and the ribs were dry, not what I expected.

The location is great, but the service was mediocre and the room wasn't ready when we arrived. My wife asked if they sold ice cream, and was told it was a sophisticated place, so they didn't. For a place that presents itself that way, I expected the room to be cleaner.

There's a long history here of waterfront cottage life, and you can feel that charm in this place. It's a fantastic Auberge right on the water, with a dining room and all the amenities. I can't think of another place like it still left anywhere in the townships.

The service is great, and the spa is amazing. If you're after a perfect spa experience, this is definitely the place to come.
