Breakfast was a real highlight, with delicious eggs, fruit, and vegetables grown at home. Our room was beautiful and spotless, and the hosts were wonderful. Todd and Gordon were such lovely people to chat with. We were so glad to meet them, and would highly recommend staying here.

The breakfast timing isn’t like what you’d get at a city hotel, but the homegrown vegetables and free-range eggs from their own hens make up for that. Todd and Gordon were really lovely and gentle to deal with, and the breakfast itself was amazing. I’ll definitely come back when I’m in Genelle or the Kootneys area.

Sitting in the lush backyard among the flowers and plants with a morning tea or coffee was lovely. The chickens were fun to visit, too. Inside, everything was very clean and comfortable, and the breakfasts were AMAZING, with farm-fresh eggs and fruit and vegetables picked from the garden. Thanks for hosting us!

We came to visit friends nearby and stayed for a few days. Genelle’s quiet residential setting was a nice fit, and the house was clean and beautiful. Gordon and Todd cooked wonderfully and were genuinely good folks. I miss them already.

The residential location means you’ll need to travel into town for food or dinner, which could put some people off. We had a great time, though, and would happily recommend the place and stay again if we’re in the area. The room was clean and comfortable in a fantastic house, with a great garden and bespoke furniture. We felt really welcome and enjoyed a cooked breakfast. It’s a B&B, so you chat with the owners and other guests over breakfast.
