Rodd Brudenell River

We used the hotel as a base for touring the local area, rather than the golf resort. Everyone on staff was friendly and helpful, and we had a wonderful stay. Room 218 had a lovely coastline view and was well equipped, even with a microwave. The bed was very comfortable, and the quiet air conditioner helped us sleep well. We also enjoyed the warm indoor pool and jacuzzi, with plenty of towels available. There's a sauna in the single-sex changing room, plus an outdoor pool we didn't try.

The fresh food and great service from the staff were lovely, and everyone around the property was welcoming and smiling. I spent two amazing days at this beautiful resort. I even worked up the nerve to play golf, mainly for the views and the course. The pro shop service was very professional. Don't forget to stop by the fire pit. Merci-thank you Rodd Hotels. I can't wait to visit your other properties, and I'll be back.

We wished we had another day here. I only spotted the outdoor pool, and it was too cold to swim, so I wish I'd known there was an indoor one. We tried walking to the island with the historical cemetery, but it was late and there were too many mosquitoes nearby. The place has a golf course, provincial park, sandy beach, and lovely water views. The rooms are spacious, with comfortable beds and pillows, fluffy towels, and amazingly friendly staff. It felt very luxurious, easily the poshest hotel on our trip. A hidden gem with lots to do, and not many other options on PEI.

The staff are the real highlight here, truly some of the nicest people I've met. Their manners and warmth made me feel on the islanders' side every time. Being pet friendly was part of why my wife booked three nights, and we got lucky with the choice. It was our first family trip to PEI, and a great place to begin. The resort sits on the Brudenell River, with lovely views, and our ground-floor room was perfectly placed. The boys loved the pools. We mostly stayed on site, with a few day trips. The restaurant was nice, with live music at night, and the beautiful golf course adds to the resort's activity. At times it felt like a classy Caribbean all-inclusive, with an exclusive feel. This was my first Rodd Hotel, and I was impressed to be part of a privately owned affair. God willing, we'll return, largely because of the staff. Nice people are rare these days. PEI is a blessed place. I'd definitely recommend it for families and couples.
