Gibbons hotel &Tavern

The room was clean, but it was in poor shape and didn’t seem well maintained. Getting to the rooms meant climbing more than one flight of stairs, and there’s no elevator. I was lucky to get the room farthest from the bar, since the loud music didn’t carry that far.

After waiting 15 minutes in the bar, with two servers and 15 customers there, I finally went up to ask if they offered table service. The answer was, “Well, it’s 50/50.” Pardon me? I can’t tell if they hire servers who are just lazy or if they don’t know how to do the job. Unless the place is a front, I’m not sure how it stays afloat. This was my second time there, and I won’t be back. I’d rather spend my money somewhere else. If I could give zero stars, I would.

A bunch of buddies and I decided to get some offsales from the gibbons hotel tonight. We’d phoned earlier, and the person we spoke with seemed annoyed and unprofessional. Then I found out an 8 pack of budweiser would cost me $50. I’ll never consider going there again.

I’m working in gibbons from edmonton and wanted a room for the night, so I called six times to ask about prices and availability. Nobody answered.
