The grounds are gorgeous, and the restaurant was a real highlight. Jordan, our waitress, was so friendly and helpful, and the food was great with pretty generous portions. We got there 40 minutes before the next tour, hoping we could join, but it had been cancelled. The gift shop staff weren't as friendly, sadly. Still, it's a lovely place and worth the detour. I can only speak to the restaurant.

I live nearby and haven't stayed here, so I can't say anything about the rooms. The restaurant, though, is amazing. The music is always good and quiet enough to talk over dinner. Add a warm welcome, great service, fantastic atmosphere, and amazing food, and it's a great place to eat.

Seeing the stills was amazing, and the creek is beautiful. The gift shop is lovely too. We’ve visited lots of distilleries in Scotland, but this was our first in Canada. We were surprised to learn that it only started in 1990, despite being North America’s first and oldest distillery to make single malt whiskey. Our guide wasn’t especially knowledgeable, though the video was lovely. I’d suggest putting out some water to add to the free tastings. A drop can open up the flavor and makes tasting more fun.

The pub food was tip top, and the music was beyond amazing. One employee was having a drink and some food, then picked up her violin and started playing! Everyone was friendly, the area was beautiful, and the hospitality was great. The tour was short and sweet, and great too. I’d love to come back and would definitely recommend a stay and the whisky to anyone. Cheers!

Tour review only. The grounds are beautiful, but the tour could be a lot better. It’s a 10 minute promo video that feels decades old, a look at three pieces of equipment, and a tasting of their 10 year. There’s a lot of room to improve it. If you’re passing by and the timing works, sure, stop in. If you’re a whisky fan, skip the tour and time it for when the pub is open. I’ve done brewery tours and distillery tours in Scotland, so temper your expectations. Four stars for the tour only, since I can’t speak to the restaurant or hotel.
