Island View Motel

The view over part of Irving Nature Park and the Bay of Fundy was amazing, and the owner was so nice. There’s a pleasant place to sit out back and take it in. Inside, the room and washroom were very clean, and the bed had clean sheets. I found the mattress too hard, though my boyfriend thought it was very comfortable. The shower had warm water and great pressure. We had a dining table with two chairs, a fridge, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, and kettle, handy if you don't want to eat out for every meal. The only thing keeping this from five stars was noise from the upstairs tenants. We'd definitely stay again.

The room was spotless and smelled nice. Our host was really kind and waited for us after we let her know we'd be arriving late.

We had water leaking into the room during a rainstorm in the middle of the night. It wasn't a storm big enough to explain a puddle on the floor, which left me worried about possible mold or mildew under the carpet. There was no soap in the bathroom either. The room looked clean enough for one night, but this motel needs a lot of work before I'd recommend it. There's no AC or fans, only a dehumidifier running.

The sea view from our bedroom was awesome, and the staff were friendly and full of useful information. We liked having a kitchen with everything we needed, including a microwave, fridge, kettle, electric stove, pans, and rice cooker. The place is cozy, well located, and good value for money. It was a bit noisy, though, and the rooms didn't block sound very well. My husband and I came over on the ferry from Digby for one night, and we'd happily stay here again when visiting Saint John.
