The room was clean, tidy, and comfortable, and we appreciated the amenities available. We were disappointed by the small screen and low resolution compared with other hotels, and by the lack of a smart TV for streaming accounts. Cable had very few options. Our key cards didn’t work at the room, so the front desk had to reprogram them. We own an inn ourselves, so we know how much work this business takes.

Parking was easy, and the location made getting around Halifax really convenient. The complimentary breakfast was a highlight, with lots of fresh options and everything well stocked. My room was spotless, cozy, and surprisingly spacious, with what I needed for a relaxing stay. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and well maintained from the moment I arrived. Staff were warm and welcoming, always ready to help. Great value and a great stay. I’d definitely pick the Holiday Inn Express Halifax again next time I’m in Halifax.

On our second day at this fine hotel, my lovely wife Pat and I are still enjoying our stay. The room is very clean, and with the curtains drawn, outside lights don’t filter in. Breakfast was supplied this morning, and we were amazed by the layout and all the choices. It’s hard not to leave feeling full. My only complaint is the constant sound of air circulating from a fan that runs all the time and can’t be turned off. Pat had no complaints.

We’re here for an emergency trip to St John, staying at the Holiday in Express, and it’s been absolutely amazing. The entry area is beautiful, warm, and inviting, and the whole place has a comforting feel. The staff are really friendly and helpful. Breakfast is fresh, hot, and amazing, a great start whether you’re here for adventure, pleasure, sports, or like us, hospital visits. Highly recommend for families and pets!
