The building was peaceful and quiet, the wifi stayed strong the whole time, and the showers had great water pressure. Our room was cozy, with a very comfortable bed. The front desk attendant was friendly, informative and hospitable, and made us feel right at home. The hospitality room is a lovely extra: it's open all day and night, with a microwave, plates, glasses, cutlery and coffee and tea whenever you like. In the morning, the halls even have a lovely coffee aroma. We'll definitely stay here again!

The hotel looks dated, but it was very clean and not worn down. I actually loved its beauty. The gentleman at the desk was pleasant and handled my request for a detailed receipt. I travel around the island a lot for work and usually stay at nice, updated hotels. This was my first work trip to gold river, and with two places to choose from, I picked this one. I'm staying again.

For a small community, this is an excellent choice, with incredible views and a very comfy bed. It's an older hotel, but everything was clean and well maintained. The staff treated us like family, and there was a cute lending library along with a great range of board and card games. The walls are cinder block, so it was very quiet. Wifi worked throughout the hotel, which was handy since there's no cell service in town. Breakfast was a standard continental one and well stocked.

Lana made me feel welcome as soon as I walked in, and she knew the town well. The hotel is older and has fewer amenities, but it's clean and centrally located. With such a great host, I'd definitely stay again.

The manager/owner was very friendly and keen to help, but I still wouldn't recommend staying here. My mattress made noise, the TV didn't work, and the Queen bed had a double-size sheet. I expected a kitchenette but found only a bar fridge. The continental breakfast was pretty skimpy. The place was very clean, though there are only two other motels in Gold River.
