Greenbrier Hotel

The staff were super helpful, and when I asked at check-in for kitchenware, they brought it right away. The rooms were clean, bright, and spacious, with a kitchen that wasn't equipped when we arrived. We stayed August 3 through 10 in a wonderful location, and I'd definitely return. The morning breakfast was basic but worked for us: coffee, tea, lemonade, bread, bagels, and a toaster, with butter, peanut butter, jams, and jellies.

I spent 3 nights here and regretted every one. The deluxe room was filthy, with mold on the bathroom tiles and barely enough room to move around or fit our luggage. The towels were cheap and miniature-sized, and the shower knob was so complicated that adjusting the water temperature was difficult. The centralized air conditioning meant I couldn't set the room to a comfortable temperature, and the rooms aren't soundproof, so we heard people laughing outside and on the street. The staff were poor at customer service. This expensive, filthy space was not worth what we paid, and I would never come back.

The atmosphere felt like staying at a relative's home, and there's plenty to see nearby. It's an old, cozy hotel in a pretty good spot at the edge of Korea Town, with lots of great Korean and Japanese food nearby, plus a couple of bistros worth trying for brunch or drinks. The rooms are converted flats, with a small kitchen and a decent living room with a pullout couch. Parking under the hotel is gated but small, fitting about 15 or 20 cars, and costs $21 per night. Service was alright. Just know the front desk locks up around midnight, so you'll need to come back in through the garage. I'd recommend the place and would visit again.

It's a great location, near bicycle rentals, and I felt safe there. The hotel was clean, and the staff were VERY FRIENDLY and helpful. Still, I didn't feel the stay was worth the price. Around 3 AM, loud noise from above woke me up, which is unusual because I'm a very sound sleeper. The room was also VERY warm, and I couldn't adjust the air temperature. I'm ALWAYS COLD, so it must have been 85 degrees in there. No other issues, but I'd only stay again if I couldn't find a better option for the same price. It wouldn't be my first choice.
