Motel 99

I left right after showering in a bathroom covered in silicone. At 3 a.m. I’d stepped into a huge puddle on my way to the washroom, and the air conditioner blew water in my face. The room had been hot when I arrived, so I turned on the AC. The toilet moved so much I thought I’d fall, there was a clump of ice taking up about half the fridge, and the microwave was filthy. I even accidentally got a video of its roof when I turned my phone. I was exhausted and nearly afraid to pull back the covers, but fell asleep almost instantly.

The room was clean, the rates were very fair, and the front desk staff were exceptional. Highly recommend.

The owner was honest and did everything he could to help us, and I’d go back without my dog. We couldn’t stay because the pet friendly room smelled of smoke and I’m allergic. The rooms were otherwise clean, though a little dated. He offered us another room, but our dog would have had to stay in the vehicle. It wasn’t hot then, but the dog’s anxiety would have kept everyone awake unless I slept in the car, which defeated the point. Thanks again for trying. 🤗

We come to Grand Forks often to visit family and plan to stay here again. It’s in a great location, the staff were friendly and attentive, and Gurmeh was excellent about our requests and always available. The rooms were clean, and the fridge worked better than the ones in most motels and hotels. It was just what we’d expect from an economy motel. Thanks for a wonderful stay!
