It’s very inexpensive, so the place is basic, but my room was clean and a decent size. The fridge was bigger than a bar fridge, the bedding was clean, and the shower was excellent. Cute in a rustic way, with exceptionally friendly hosts. I also enjoyed the food at the restaurant next door. I’ll be back!

A sincere, warm greeting and handshake at check-in was a nice touch. The room was basic but clean, with cute decor, and the price was great. There’s room for a pull-through trailer, and having a restaurant attached is handy, though it serves lunch and dinner only. Fast food and other restaurants in the strip malls are just two minutes away by car. The building by the highway gets unavoidable road noise, while the one by the parkland looked quiet. Google Maps will send you the wrong way if you approach from the north. No, Google, you can’t walk across a divided four-lane highway. Continue south 1 km and take the offramp to head back the other direction.

We went into the restaurant because I had a leg cramp and needed salt. The waitress gave me a spoonful, then we decided to try the Thai food. I’d never had it before because I thought it would all be too spicy. It is spicy, but there’s regular food too, and the waitress was great at explaining the difference. We ordered chicken and beef pastas, and they were so tasty. We’ll definitely be back.

The owner was funny, friendly, and really knew the town. He pointed us to the best chicken wing place and a lumber supply store. We booked at the last minute through Expedia for just under $100, and the room was nice and clean, with clean towels, soap, and shampoo. Having a coffee maker and coffee was a great bonus. I’ll definitely stay here again.

This was a disastrous stay. There was mold all over the room ceiling, and it smelled as if the place had never been cleaned. The owner was rude and had no manners with my girlfriend and me throughout the visit. Don’t advertise the website as pet friendly if it isn’t. He also banged on our door every week at 8am to get paid, acting very ignorant about it even though checkout is at 11am. If you’re thinking of staying at the GoldPine Inn, I’d recommend any other place in Muskoka. Never again.
