Cambridge Suites Hotel

You can walk pretty much everywhere from here, and getting into the underground parking was easy. We stayed five nights from April 21st. Check-in was quick, the front desk was great, and the room was a decent size with comfortable beds and pillows. Breakfast was nice, and both the staff and housekeeping were lovely. The only snag was a slow bathtub drain. Thanks to everyone, I’d still recommend the hotel 🙏🏽

The toilets were ridiculously low, which would be very difficult for anyone with mobility issues. I was told I could have booked an accessible suite, though I didn’t really need one, I just wanted a toilet at a normal height. Otherwise, the hotel is convenient for downtown, reasonably priced, and the decor and amenities were okay.

The staff and the place made a very stressful visit much easier. I was in Halifax because a family member needed emergency surgery, and when I called on the way, they arranged a room quickly with no hold. Check-in was smooth, everyone was kind and helpful, and extending my stay twice because of surgery delays was as simple as asking for a new key card. The room was extremely clean. There’s coin laundry on site, and they had change and detergent available. Breakfast was always stocked, with coffee, tea, and ice water on hand, and I never had to wait for the elevator. The location was ideal, about a pleasant 15-minute walk around the citadel to Halifax infirmery, with amenities close by. I heard a one-year-old in the hallway, but not from inside my room. A group of students stayed one night, and I expected noise, but heard nothing after 8pm. I also never heard the guests’ dogs.

The location was great, and we parked the car and walked around all weekend. There were three of us on a mother-daughter trip to Halifax. We arrived a couple of hours early to ask about checking in, but our room wasn’t ready. They offered an upgrade for a small charge, which we were going to ask about anyway, and after that everything went smoothly. We enjoyed the included breakfast, hot tub and spa area, and rooftop access, and the staff were helpful. We did hear loud music in the hallway or a neighboring room around 2:00AM on our first night, but it didn’t last long. Great staff and amenities, though the doors may not block all sound. Three happy ladies by the end!
