The people here made the stay. From the doorman and front desk to housekeeping, the bar, and the restaurant team, service was calm, precise, and so discreet. It often felt like someone appeared just as we needed a hand or had a question. They looked after us so naturally that it felt a bit like being cared for by the best parts of your own family. No flashy tricks or showy nonsense, and I really admire the team for that. The design and layout also made us comfortable right away. Every detail seemed carefully thought through and done to a high standard, with a cozy, lively atmosphere. The blizzard meant we had to stay an extra night, and we weren’t complaining. And those “dried raisins” on the cheese and chocolate board? They were Amarena cherries. I was feeling smug about catching the mistake, then looked down and realized it was clearly a cheeky little in-joke. Well played, Muir. This was the best hotel experience we’ve ever had, and we’ll be back. Thanks for everything, you legends! 😊

This was my third stay at The Muir Hotel, the luxury property in Queen's Marque on the Halifax waterfront. The attention to detail and friendly service from everyone, including the door staff, house car drivers, front desk, housekeeping, gym and spa teams, restaurant staff, and managers, made my friends and me feel appreciated and special. It was a beautiful experience. Thanks to Oran, Rhianne, U.T., Shrada, Arshdeep, Mario, Charles, Geoff, the Drift staff, Francisco, Mo, Prem, and Ron in the gym. What an outstanding stay. We’ll be back in April and look forward to seeing everyone. After staying at the Muir, we wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else.

My wife and I live in Nova Scotia and wanted to treat ourselves to a Halifax getaway at Christmas. It was quite a treat. The room was exceptional, with a well-equipped bar, a bathroom that spoiled us, and thoughtful little extras all around. They even upgraded us to a harbour-view room when we arrived. Our only request would be a magnifying mirror in the bathroom for my wife. Everyone made the stay feel first-rate, from the man outside in the cold directing us to underground parking to the registration desk, housekeeping, and restaurant staff. The adjoining restaurant’s food and service were excellent too. This is the best-appointed hotel we’ve ever stayed in, a cut above, and we’ll make it part of our Christmas family traditions for years to come.

The staff were very friendly, and the hotel was great, but a few hiccups brought my rating to 4/5. Since I was visiting with a group, it was frustrating that my key only let me reach my own floor, so I couldn’t get to where my friends were staying. The coffee pods weren’t replaced in my room. It took a second call to the front desk and 45 minutes after I asked before I got more. There was also a minor issue at the gym. I wear flat sandals for weight training to help with foot and ankle stability, but was asked to leave. I respect the hotel’s policy, though I then walked barefoot around the pool deck, sauna, and salt room.

The front desk team made our girls’ day with a personalized card and a snowman sketch. Everyone was lovely and made them feel especially welcome. The room was spacious, cozy, and beautifully designed, and every detail felt right. The whole stay was phenomenal. We’ll be back, and I can’t recommend this hotel enough.
