Torrent River Inn

The rooms were filthy, with old hair everywhere, and the sheets didn't look clean at all, even when checked with a light. The food was awful, and the pizza was more like liquid soup than pizza. Staff at the bar were rude and terrible. My advice to the owners: sell the place, hire someone who cleans, or do both.

The wings at the restaurant were fantastic, and the updated rooms were a pleasant surprise after years away. They're bright, clean, modern, and have a comfortable bed, making the place fine for business travel. Along that highway route, it's as good as it gets. A few marks on the doors and finishes took away a star, and the side door by the upper parking lot was nasty. Otherwise, a great visit. I'll stay again.

The shower kept swinging between boiling hot and lukewarm, no matter which setting I tried. The room itself was really clean and nice, but the beds weren't comfortable.

After a long drive, we got there at 330pm and were told our room wouldn't be ready until 430pm because apparently all the rooms were still being cleaned. The service was disappointing throughout. When we asked about food, the answer was “what ?” as if the question was out of line, and we had to ask for toilet paper. The food options had separate branding, but turned out to be one integrated menu in a single location. We didn't enjoy the skillets, with too little meat chopped into tiny pieces and lots of tomato and peppers. The room was okay, with two double beds, and it was quiet, but the experience was disappointing.
