Jeddore Lodge Cabins

The location is a real plus, fairly close to the city and right on the beautiful Marine Drive trail, with a lovely view. I hope the new owners give the property some care, because it could be fantastic. The driveway is badly rutted, so you can’t drive through it as intended, and the place overall feels run down. Our room was a cute little space with a double bed, sofa, and small table, but I wasn’t impressed. It smelled strongly of air freshener and spray, which didn’t cover the musty cabin smell. The tiny bathroom had a stand-up shower and wasn’t clean: dirt in the corners, spiders in the shower, and possibly mold along the bottom of the stall. The sheets were too small and wouldn’t stay on the bed. Traffic from the nearby main road was quite loud in the morning. I suggest reading the cancellation policy carefully before booking.

The beds were very comfortable, the bathroom was clean, and our cabin had a little kitchenette, which was a nice touch. There was also a TV in the room with apps for movies and shows. We could sit on the front porch and enjoy the view, or use the grills and picnic tables around the site. The community fire pit by the lake, with mountains nearby, looked like a lovely place to relax, though during our fall visit a drought meant we couldn’t have a campfire. Wood is available for sale when fires are allowed. The kitchen was closed for renovations, so we had to find breakfast elsewhere. I hadn’t realized it was a self check-in lodge and went to the office, where the friendly owner met us, showed us to our cabin, and explained everything. My family and I enjoyed our stay and I’d recommend it for a personal or family vacation.

The cabin was small but comfortable, with a great view. It was pretty quiet since I didn’t have anyone sharing the cabin next door. I’m not sure how quiet it would’ve been with neighbors there.

We booked fairly last minute that morning and didn’t get there until close to 9 pm. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. Someone greeted us at the door, walked us to our room, and made sure we had all the information we needed. The rooms have lots of character, and we had a lovely stay. Highly recommend!
