Hinton Lodge

We've stayed here twice, and both visits have been a pleasure. The rooms are clean, if a little dated, but I don't need bells and whistles. Prices are very reasonable, the staff are great, and breakfast is adequate. We'll be back again, DV.

The location just off the main highway worked well for our trip home, and the price was decent. We picked a room with a hot tub, and it was perfect. I liked being able to set the air conditioning to my preferred temperature without it being loud enough to disturb sleep. The night staff were extremely helpful and friendly, and the morning staff were just as nice.

Breakfast comes with the rate, which was very reasonable in the off-season, and it's more than a basic continental spread: scrambled eggs, sausage, pancakes, fruit, yogurt, bagels and bread, juice, and more. The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable, and the staff very friendly.

I've traveled a lot for work, and this stay at Hinton Lodge really stood out. At check-in, the receptionist asked what kind of room I preferred. I said I valued privacy and liked to leave the curtains open at night so the sunrise could wake me. She listened and put me in just the right room. It felt personal, like she actually cared about my stay. The staff I met were warm and friendly in a way that felt genuine. The room impressed me too: everything was spotless and seemed brand new, from the soap and coffee maker to the furniture. Even the bathroom fan was so quiet I nearly couldn't tell it was running. You can see they take pride in maintaining the place. Breakfast was well above the usual hotel standard, with real scrambled eggs, sausages, and beans. They served it on ceramic plates, a small touch that changed the feel of the morning. I didn't expect to be this impressed. Hinton Lodge has earned a fan for life, and I'll be back.
