À La Vieille Maison Fradet

Woooow!

The owners made the stay especially memorable. They’re warm, attentive, and clearly care about what they offer. The grounds are gorgeous, peaceful, and tastefully decorated, and there’s a lovely feeling as soon as you arrive. It’s a great spot to unplug and be surrounded by nature. I felt comfortable from start to finish and would happily come back.

The building was very clean, and the price was attractive for the area. Still, the stay was disappointing for us. We’re used to B&Bs and enjoy meeting the hosts, a fresh, filling breakfast, and a comfortable bed. We didn’t get that here. No one came to greet us in the morning or say goodbye when we left. Breakfast had been set out the day before and lacked both flavor and variety. Two of the four of us had bad back pain all day. Too bad. I usually never edit a review, but the reply below made me feel I should clarify. If the experience described in that reply had happened, I wouldn’t have written this. There were no eggs, tomatoes, or herbs from the garden. They were listed on a chalkboard, but when we came down for lunch, no one was there to welcome us. All we found were crumbling muffins and yogurt that had been left in the fridge the day before. We came down at the same time as everyone else. I believe what you say about the mattresses, but two out of four of us still had back trouble all day. We travel a lot and know the boutique hotel concept, but this felt more like an Airbnb to me. The least I’d expect is a goodbye to guests. I meant the criticism constructively and would have gladly shared it in person if I’d run into anyone.

Audrey and the guesthouse were so warm and welcoming. Our room was cute, clean, and had everything we needed, and breakfast was really good too. Everything felt perfect. A peaceful little haven, I’d definitely recommend it 🥰
