La Maison De L'île

The breakfast was one of the best meals we've had, and the room was really comfortable. Sylvie and Yves were great hosts. We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend it!

Breakfast here is a slow-food feast. On our second morning, we had course after course of canapes, pates, eggs, and cheeses, finished with strawberry-filled rosewater crepes. Yves puts so much love into every bite and celebrates what the region has to offer. Sylvie inherited this lovely old summer home and now runs it as a B&B with her partner Yves. They're warm, generous hosts who want you to sleep well, eat well, and relax. Upstairs, the two guest rooms are chic and spotless, with broad views of the St. Lawrence River and spacious modern bathrooms. Wow.

The breakfasts were without a doubt our best meals on Île d'Orléans. There's so much care in the four-course spread each morning, and you feel welcome as soon as you sit down. Sylvie and Yves are wonderful hosts who make a real effort to give you a pleasant stay. Their B&B puts a lot of attention into the food, with visually appealing, delicious creations often inspired by Michelin-style cooking. The rooms are clean and comfortable, each with a luxurious bathroom and rainforest shower. From the room, you can see the heated pool and the fleuve Saint-Laurent in the distance.

The part that stays with you most is getting to share a little of Sylvie and Yve's life for a few days. They're welcoming, passionate, generous with their time and stories, and their appetite for happiness is infectious. This is the kind of B&B where you can chat, laugh, and trade life stories with the owners. The rooms at La Maison de L' Ile are tastefully decorated, with comfortable beds, remodeled bathrooms, and a tremendous view of the Fleuve St-Laurent. Yves' four-course breakfasts are a treat for the eyes and palate. He takes award-winning dishes and recreates them with his own humor and twist. Easily the best breakfasts we've ever had.
