A lot of water was leaking inside the fridge, so keep anything you put in there watertight. The hot tub was lovely, but the cleaning chemicals were so concentrated that they permanently changed the colours of our bathing suits. They still smell of bleach after going through the wash. The toaster in our unit was a fire hazard. The owners told us they'd replaced it, but I doubt they had time to do that between my message and their reply. If there was already a new, working toaster on site, why hadn't it been installed?

We couldn't make the trip because of bad weather and unsafe roads. A car had gone into the ditch and our truck slid off the road, but we were told there would be no refund or credit toward a future stay. We love Ucluete, so it's really sad that a company there would be so unforgiving, especially over Christmas. They could have offered even a partial refund or returned our pet deposit, since the pet wasn't a factor when we didn't go. They offered nothing and were quite rude about it. I wouldn't recommend them. If I could leave a 0, I would!

The cottage was cosy, warm, comfortable, and clean, just right for a quiet visit to lovely Ucluelet. We loved our one-bedroom forest view cottage. It was about a 5 minute drive to restaurants and activities in town, and within walking distance of the lighthouse trail.

Be careful which unit you get, as several reviewers have mentioned. We had unit F, and it was in terrible condition, with water damage. One bathroom couldn't be used to bathe the kids, which was unfortunately the main reason we booked a unit with a tub. The caretaker/manager's customer service was terrible too. At this price, do yourself a favour and book somewhere else.

We stayed in Cabin B with our 3 kids, and there was enough room for all of us to relax and enjoy the cottage. It's in a beautiful location, and the hot tub was amazing. The place was warm, welcoming, and very clean, exactly what I'd expect from a cottage, and it exceeded our expectations. Check-in and check-out were easy to navigate. The clean-up procedure was pretty standard, and having a dishwasher made it much easier. I'm not sure why there are negative comments when the policies and expectations are set out clearly. We can't wait to go back.
