The Cabins at Terrace Beach

The Nest house was lovely, though we had expected one of the front-view houses with a direct view when we booked. The property’s design and details are thoughtfully done, and the view was stunning, easily the best part and worth most of the price. The fees were harder to accept. The $50 service fee came with essentially no service, since check-in and check-out are self-serve. And $130 for cleaning felt steep when guests still have to take out their own garbage.

It was so quiet that I could hear waves breaking from our Lodge room, even though the property was well maintained and the parking lot had plenty of cars. We spent three nights in March 2026, just before spring break, and hardly saw anyone around. The large soaker tub filled quickly with on-demand hot water, and the walls must be well insulated because we barely heard other guests. I would have liked the option of room service or towel exchange, though I’m not sure if it was available and we missed it. We also treated ourselves to an in-room mobile massage through Rain In Motion and highly recommend it.

Online booking and contactless check-in and check-out made the whole visit stress-free. The cabin was gorgeous, relaxing, and very well equipped, and we can’t wait to come back. It’s now our favorite place in Ukee. The one change we’d suggest is adding a door at the bottom of the stairs, since sounds from the shared area echo up into the loft bedroom and affect privacy. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. It was beautiful, too, with a great ocean view and easy access to the beach and the Wild Pacific Trail leading to the lighthouse. We’d happily recommend it and hope to return.
