Nova Inn Inuvik

I've stayed at the Nova twice this month, and the innkeeper, Nathan, went above and beyond to make both visits comfortable. Phenomenal service. Two thumbs up!

A pleasant stay in a renovated suite that was spotlessly clean. The workers were lovely too!

The maintenance guy was the most helpful part of our stay. He moved us to another room when we were given the wrong one, found pillows for the pull-out couch, and told us how to reach him if we needed anything else. We had booked two rooms, but the front desk guy couldn't help with the room issue because there were no rooms with double beds. He barely spoke English and didn't know how to check us in, so he called someone else, who took ages. The kitchen floor was sticky, the fridge wasn't plugged in, the fireplace was broken, and the toilet moved. After we got sheets for the pull-out, the front desk guy told us to fetch pillows from the laundry room ourselves, but there weren't any there, so he had to ask the housekeepers where they were. In the other room, the front light was out, there was only one towel, and the fireplace was broken too. It was a place to sleep, I guess, but the rooms and service weren't worth the money. I wasn't impressed, and we didn't get a refund for the room mix-up. I'm just glad the maintenance guy helped us.

The Nova Inn came through for us when we were stranded in Inuvik waiting for a flight out. The manager at the desk was incredibly accommodating and made us feel at home while we were going through a rough time. It's not the fanciest place, but the room was clean, the bed was decent, and they gave us a roof over our heads and a simple breakfast in the morning. For a stay in Inuvik, that's all I could have asked for. A glowing review from me. Thank you, Nova Inn!
