Grandview Motel

I stayed at Grandview for my first month of law school at TRU while waiting to move into my permanent place. The team, including Char, were so warm and friendly, and the rooms were very clean. There’s a pool, a barbecue, and outdoor space to hang out. I’d happily stay longer if I needed to, and I definitely recommend it for a short stay too. I also saw a comment from a woman traveling alone who felt safe. I was there a whole month and never felt unsafe either.

When our car broke down on the Coquihalla and we needed an emergency mechanic, this motel found us a room at a very reasonable price. We really appreciated their kindness and hospitality. The room was comfortable and the location worked well for us.

We’d been pleased with the affordable, clean room on a visit a few years ago, but this time, traveling with our small dog, was awful. They put us in pet room 112, which was disgusting. The carpet had pee stains everywhere and the room reeked of disinfectant. There was no hairdryer, and the wall sign said we couldn’t control the unit temperature. In the morning, ants had gotten into my dog’s dish. We won’t be back. Don’t bring a pet here.

My house had just burned down, and I was on my way to Alberta with my dog and two cats. The woman at the front desk was incredibly kind and did everything she could to help me and my furbabies feel comfortable. I’ll definitely keep staying at the Grandview Terrace on my overnight stops in Kamloops. Thank you.
